Week 3: BioHeroes

Hi!

My birth month is February, which corresponds to the part medulla oblangata. My birth day is the 22nd, which corresponds to the neurotransmitter Substance P. My hero is AutonomicPain. My hero has the combined abilities given by the medulla oblangata and Substance P. The medulla oblangata contributes the ability to help transfer messages to the spinal cord and the thalamus, which is in the brain, from the body. In addition, it is a center for respiration and circulation, and helps regulate breathing, heart and blood vessel function, digestion, sneezing, and swallowing. Substance P is involved in the regualtion of the pain threshold. 

AutonomicPain is from the planet Zolof and migrated to Earth during World War Z after watching her entire species die as a child because they could not breathe. From then on, this hero formed and used the powers that allowed her to be the only survivor to help others in need. She stops people from feeling pain by adjusting their threshold, in addition to making sure their body keeps on functioning until the paramedics arrive. She is in a continuous battle to keep the humans breathing as Dr. Doofenshmirtz wants to initiate World War XYZ to prevent humans from being able to control whether they can breathe.
